I had a meeting with Garry Sholl in relation to building a specialised Technology division for DesignLive. That meeting has produced enormous opportunities for which together we can create solutions in technology that can be applied to the home, the office and commercial environment. regular updates will be posted to advise as to the path of this exciting project that will become a very successful business unit.

Personally, I think the Unified Communications market has been staked and divided evenly. Avaya, Cisco, and to a small extent, Mitel and Nortel are all playing very fiercly in this space. Microsoft is the new player, but I don't see them making many inroads in the telephony side of the business. You will see some more players attempt to enter the business like Adobe and the like, but I doubt they will get the same traction that Avaya and Cisco have made.
